Current NPC students can book an appointment with an academic advisor in D2L or call 501.760.4159. If scheduling through D2L, you will go the the NPC Student Community, select the General tab then select Advising Appointment Scheduler.
If you are not a current student, please fill out an application for NPC and once accepted you will have the ability to create an appointment with an advisor.
Academic advisors are located in Enrollment Services on the second floor of the Student Commons. The advisors can help you choose appropriate classes that fit your degree plan, advise you on academic decisions, and perform degree audits.
New students, including first-time and transfer students, must consult with an advisor when enrolling in classes at NPC. These appointments may be conducted by phone or in person. Students are also encouraged to meet with an advisor at any point during the semester, especially when making decisions about registration, such as adding, dropping, or withdrawing from classes.
The Associate of Arts (AA) degree provides a flexible foundation for students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university. Since course requirements vary by institution and major, working with an academic advisor is key. Your advisor will help you choose courses that align with your transfer goals and and help ensure your credits apply toward your chosen major and degree requirements at your transfer institution.
