Denice Davis is a native Arkansan – born, raised, and continuing in Hot Springs. Denice’s
heart is in nursing. She is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau National Nursing Honor
Society and a retired faculty member at National Park College (NPC) in the Division
of Nursing in both clinical and classroom instruction. Denice has served as Director
of the NPC RN Nursing program and as a volunteer clinical adjunct instructor for the
University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Upon her retirement from NPC, Denice
established the Nightingale Nursing Scholarship.
Denice served as a Nursing Program Accreditation Visitor and Accreditation Team Chair
for National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission now known as Accreditation
Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN). She was a nursing grant reviewer for
the Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration
in Silver Springs, Maryland.
Denice has served on various boards and community initiatives including the Ouachita
Area Youth Council, and Friends of Garland County Courthouse.
She and her husband, Rick, are members of First Baptist Church in Hot Springs and
have two married sons and four grandchildren. Both of their sons attended NPC before
going on to four-year universities.
